The Love Energy & Heart By-Pass

When we close off, or by-pass the heart, its obvious to others. The heart

by-pass can occur in many instances in our personal lives, families, working

with others, social contacts, dealing with traffic and travel, computers, food,

the media, medicine and medical treatment, our views of religion, sports, the

elderly and more. There are many everyday aspects of life that can create the

traps that block the love energy.

Negative energy is so overwhelming in our society that it's easy to think that

our changes won't make any difference. But Sai Baba says that if enough

separate individuals open their hearts and send out love and kindness in place

of fear and hate, the world will get better. Each of us can accomplish our

individual part by allowing the love to flow from our hearts to every person we

meet. When enough people practice this daily routine, the world must change!

If God can be identified with love, which is also our Real Self, then why are we

not expressing love in our daily lives? Why has the heart by-pass occurred and

how can it be reversed?

We need to take a deep look at our behaviour to determine how, when and under

what circumstances we are by-passing our heart and ignoring our God-Self.

Surely we are here on Earth to learn our true identity and allow It to live

through us.

Swami teaches that everything that is not this Reality is excess luggage which

we carry from past lives as well as this present one. He has said:

Reduce the luggage you carry about when on the journey of life.

Remember that all that is not you is luggage!

You are not the body, so the body is an item of luggage.

The minds, the senses, the intelligence, the imagination, the desires, the

plans, the prejudices,

the discontent, the distress-all are items of luggage

 

Jettison them soon, to make travel lighter, safer and more comfortable. Learn this lesson by

watching the great who are all humble and simple. They are the elders whom you should

admire and follow. They are the people who bring forth your tears when they pass away; there

are others who bring forth your tears when they pass your way! They are to be avoided.

 

The inner spark exists within everyone. It expresses Itself as pure wisdom and

love whenever the ego, with its multiple desires, is by-passed. If only more

people could accept this truth! If we could cease the wasteful practice of

acting as if only our particular form of belief and our preferred name and

symbol correct, the people of the world could finally be at peace with one

another. We would not need to go to wage wars over who is right and who has the

Truth, and who is wrong and who will be condemned to Hell.

There is only one God, Swami tells us and God is LOVE – not hate. Children, when

they are still quite young, know this to be true. They carry this knowledge from

birth, when they are still close to the Source, until they are weaned away by

further influences.
