Guest guest
Om Jai Sri Sai Raam... I offer my most humble pranaams at the lotus feet of the beloved Lord Sai..Master of the Universe, Preserver and Destroyer -Satchidananda Sri Bhagawan Sai Baba. Embodiments of DIVINE Love...Dearest Sai Brothers and Sai Sisters. It has been a while since I have added my *two cents* but I must say, this is a wonderful network and the love that flows here is certainly divine. I wish to thank each and everyone of you for your selfless devotion, thoughts, words and experiences you have put into each email. I have certainly learnt one thing or another from this Sai-Satsangh. Thank you and may Swami continue to bless and guide us all towards the light so we can continue to enlighten those we come in contact with...realizing that we are all LOVE PERSONIFIED! I wish to take the opportunity to wish you all a very HAPPY NEW YEAR...and fill you in on the essence of the NEW YEAR... India's cultural diversities are of eccentric proportions — even when it comes to counting days. Just imagine people in different part of the country using 30 different date systems! With so many different calendars, one might land up having a couple of new year celebrations every month! Until 1957, when the government decided to put an end to this colossal confusion, about 30 different calendars were being used for arriving at the dates of various religious festivals among Hindus, Buddhist and Jains. These calendars were mostly based on the astronomical practices of local priests and "kalnirnayaks" or calendar makers. In addition, the Muslims followed the Islamic calendar, and the Gregorian calendar was used for administrative purposes by the government. The current national calendar of India was set up in 1957 by the Calendar Reform Committee that formalized a lunisolar calendar in which leap years coincide with those of the Gregorian calendar, and the months are named after the traditional indian months... The Hindi New Year will step in on Thursday 30-03-2006 ..on this day let us all make a special effort to chant the Gayathri Mantra as this is the Universal Mantra. Let us all pray for world peace, understanding and to be filled with LOVE, for Love is the only thing that does not cost us anything. It is limitless...Let us all honor, nurture, and express this Love in our lives. Swami sees us as...He sees Love as our nature, as we are sparks from the Divine fire, seeds from the Divine tree. Swami has said time and time again," I have come to light the Lamp of Love in your hearts, to see that it shines day by day with added luster. I have not come on any mission of publicity for any sect or creed, nor to collect followers for any doctrine." Let us Love all religions. When one practices his religion with faith, there can be no hatred in the world for all religions are built on Universal Love. (Sathya Sai Speaks, IX:88ff) We must Understand that the purpose of life is to know the Embodiment of Love, namely God, through Love, and to demonstrate through your own Love that you have known God. (Sathya Sai Speaks, IX:216) LET US ESPECIALLY PRACTISE THIS TEACHING: Start the day with Love. Spend the day with Love. Fill the day with Love. End the day with Love. This is the way to God. (Sathya Sai Speaks, VIII:195ff)-Swami repeats this to us over and over...but are we all listening??? We hear but we DO NOT LISTEN! Swami's life demonstrates this Love in every way. He is the grand example, the most capable guide to Love. He encourages us with every word. Love alone can reveal the Divinity latent in all. Love is God. Live in Love. Love! Love! Become what you truly are — the embodiment of Love. (Sathya Sai Speaks, XI:14ff) Love, because it is your nature to Love, because you know nothing else, because you cannot act otherwise than Love. Expand yourself, take in all! (Sathya Sai Speaks, VII:510ff) FOR THIS NEW YEAR(TELUGU -March 30)Let us strive to make an extra effort...for time is not standing still for anyone's sake... Let us ALL...Scatter the seeds of Love in dreary, desert hearts. Then, sprouts of Love will make wastes green with joy, blossoms of Love will make the air fragrant, rivers of Love will murmur along the valleys, and every bird, beast, and child will sing the song of Love.(Sathya Sai Speaks, VII:300) Do you all understand what Divine TRUE LOVE IS??? Well Swami says," It is Pure, unselfish Love towards all living beings, considered as embodiments of the Divine, with no expectation of reward, is true Love. Love does not seek anything in return. Love knows only to give, not to receive. Such Love is free from fear. These are the basic features of true Love. GIVE GIVE GIVE...." Swami continues to tell us...."That which does not change is only one -- it is Love. All relationships come and go - all are passing clouds. Only one thing is permanent, and this is Divine Love. " May your heart be a fertile field in which you experience, and radiate, the deep peace and joy of Divine Love each and every moment. Thank you for taking the time to read this email, May this new year be filled with love....may your lives be transformed to love itself. I offer my most humble pranaams at the lotus feet of Bhagawan Prema Sai. Om Jai Sri Sai Raam. Your sister in Sai Radhey Of Canada.
