Guest guest Posted June 29, 2005 Report Share Posted June 29, 2005 today is my wife's 59th birthday and she is suffering from a failed back pain disease that has plagued her for many years. I had the pleasure of seeing Sai Baba in India in the late '70's. He managed to joke about my still being wrapped in a blanket when darshan began -"Cold?", He inquired. Everyone laughed heartly. Whenever i was fortunate enough to get into the front line He managed to step on my foot, (three times), while giving attention to someone behind me. On one of these occasions he materialized sacred ash for someone behind but seem to have a little left over - which he placed on my forehead. i ran to my room to look into the mirror and there no trace of ash left. for many years though he kept me and my wife supplied by manifesting it in a small container we have. i used it last on my dying son-in-law in the hospital. he revived and is well. he was dying of an overdose of drugs. the container is empty now with just a bit coming about from time to time. i pray for Baba's health - i think someone ought to; perhaps you'll join me in a prayer there. however, i must report i am terrible devotee and don't know much considering. don't follow many of the disiplines anymore and so on. the good news is that i am much less of a devotee than you will probably ever be and i can report that Sia Baba has made my life worthwhile and spoiled me in many ways. keep on the path. you will see eventually. meanwhile my prayers go out to you as well. mike klema panama city beach, florida U.S.A. Do't you feel there is a bit of arrogance in ur words, when u say someone has to pray for Baba ? Does he need ur sympathy ? There is a saying if u push ego out the front door, close the back door too, still it may be lerking near the window to get back to u. Swami has made it clear that he always in Ananda ( Bliss) and physical frilities does't touch him. He does't need our sympathy. If out of love for Swami , you shed tears for his well being its Bhakthi or else its ur illusion. Just because he is pushed around in wheel chair or gives only car darshan, pl do't mistake it for old age only. I strongly feel he is also trying to push divotees to look for him in their hearts wherever they are. He has made it clear that His glory is expressed in full while you contact him spirit. He teaches this from the day he took over his mission but few of us really understand its significance even today. Iam being his divotee for long, had back of mind some disturbances because he never called me for interview and no darshan in dream also. I understood that my sadhana was not good enough. Recently after crying whole night for his darshan, I saw had VERY BEAUTIFUL DARSHAN of him in my dream in the early morning hrs. Since Iam was watching him in close quarters for the first time, after long gap, his face has changed. I must mention here that every year generally it so happens that the last day before he departs from Brindavan to Puttaparthy, me and my family somehow always visit him for darshan and next day we read in papers that he left for Parthy. This year I could't visit him and he came to give me Darshan in my dreams, the day he was leaving to Parhty! Some years back, while me and my family were deliberating whether Swami has come to Brindavan or not, I saw Vibhuti coming of out of my drawer (computer table at office) when I pulled it to get something. That was his way of announcing that he is in Brindavan and bade him visit him. Bhakthi is the link which connects Paramathma with is divotees and ur responsibility to maintain and strengthen that link. Kindly also note it is not at all 'good news for us because you are lot less of a divotee than us', as you say. It pains us to hear it from you. Pl fill your heart with Swami's Bhakthi and pray that he again fills ur life with Vibhuti and Prema. Kindly forgive if you feel upset with some of my choice for words.
