SAI CHILDREN AND THEIR EXAMINATION

Dear Blessed Sai children!

These are the days of examinations for all students, especially to Sai children;

Panchasheel examination is due on 10th August 2003. On this great occasion, let

us try to know about some of the leelas of Baba so that they may cheer you up

and give you courage.

One youth from the village Singwe by name Anant Madhav Kulkarni, went to Shirdi

along with his father to seek the blessings of Baba, just as he was about to

take his exams. The boy, who was going to write his final exams, paid his

respects to Baba and asked him, "Baba! Am I going to get through the exams?"

Baba said with a smile, "Why do you doubt it? You will get 114th rank."

Surprise! After the results were out it turned out that the youth got exactly

114th rank as told by Baba.

Likewise, in the year 1917, Baba appeared in the dreams of a medical student on

the eve of his exams and said, "My stomach and guts are hurting badly. Give me

some medicine! You, the doctor!" The boy hesitated, "I am still a student and

not yet a doctor. You know Baba! How can I give you the medicine?" Baba paid no

heed to the boy and hurried him, "Quick! Get up and get me the medicine at

once..." The boy went inside to fetch the medicine and when he returned with

it, after looking it up, he could not find Baba in the room. Wondering what

might be the meaning of this dream, the boy unintentionally went to the exam

well prepared in that particular topic. Next day he was surprised to find that

the topic of the main question in the exam was on stomach aches. He answered

the questions very well as he was well prepared in that particular topic.

On another occasion, the son of Srimati Savithribai Tendulkar, was suffering

from exam nerves and was unable to read or remember anything. The boy’s parents

showed his horoscope to some fortune-teller and the latter, after scrutinising

it, said that the boy was destined not to get through the exams that year.

Having heard this, the boy was even more worried and said he would not even

attempt the exam that year. Savithri Bai, a devotee of Baba, went over to

Shirdi and appraised Baba on the entire matter. Baba said to her, "Cast aside

the horoscopes and tell the boy to study sincerely. It will turn out as ‘I’

said and not as per the horoscopes. Tell him to take the exams with confidence

and he will get through!" Thus, with the assurance given by Baba, the boy

gathered courage and went about his studies sincerely, wrote the exams and

passed with good grades. And the fortune-teller cut a sorry figure.

Now let us know the story of Baba giving his blessings to a student who fell

sick at the time of exams. In the year 1913, while in Shirdi, Kaka Saheb Dixit

received a letter from his home in Bandra saying that his son was not in good

health and that he should start for home at once. Dixit sought the permission

of Baba to go home. Baba said, "Tell the boy himself to come over to Shirdi!"

Dixit wrote to his son accordingly, but Dixit’s householders expressed many

doubts, "The boy is not in good shape in the first place. There won’t be proper

medical facilities in a small village such as Shirdi to treat him. On top of it

all, the exams are fast approaching and how will he study there?" As Baba

assured that, "Nothing would happen! Get the boy over here!", they obliged him

and brought him to Shirdi.

His health improved within a few days of coming to Shirdi and he started

sincerely preparing for the exams. As the date of the exams approached Dixit

got a letter from home to send his son back. When Baba’s permission was sought

he said, "He need not go right now". When enquiries were made later it was

found that the exams had been postponed for four days. When they asked him to

send the boy home again in order to be in time for the new exams, Baba again

said, "No need for going now itself!" Well! The exams were put off by another

four days.

Finally, Baba told the boy to go home on the date given the third time. The boy

did well in the exams and with Baba’s blessings he passed with high marks.

Dear Sai children! Have you seen the magic of Baba’s blessings? If you do your

job with diligence, God’s blessings will add to it and you will always get good

results. So, if you study thoroughly and write the exams giving no room to fear

or carelessness, and have faith in Baba, surely you will get good marks.

We wish you all good studying!
