LET US WORK TO FINISH SUFFERINGS

Beloved Sairam,

Baba said, "Shri Hari (God) will be certainly pleased, if you give water to the

thirsty, bread to the hungry, clothes to the naked and your varandah to

strangers for resting. (SSS Ch.18,19)". For this we do not require enormous

wealth. We can serve with our mind and body. If we find a poor sick man lying

on the roadside, give him some water or milk to drink. Cheer him up with sweet

encouraging words. Take him to the nearest hospital. If we do service like

this, our heart will be purified and certainly Baba will be happy on us. If

anyone is suffering from pain in any part of the body, at once shampoo the

part. When we massage him feel that we are shampooing the body of Baba. As we

do this, repeat Sai Maha Mantra, or Baba’s name. Also pray from the bottom of

our heart: "O’ Baba! Remove the pain of this man. Let him rest in peace. Let

him possess good health." When we massage any person feel that it is the energy

from the divine sources that is flowing continuously

through our hands. Some neophytes are afraid that massaging another person will

deplete their energy. This is a serious mistake. The more we give, the more we

will get. We will be in tune with the divine energy. This is the divine law. In

order to increase our energy level, Baba assured, "The best way to receive, is

to give. Give one and receive tenfold! (SSS Ch. 35)

If we see a man or an animal with severe bleeding, on the road or anywhere, do

not run hither and thither to find cloth to bandage them. At once tear a piece

of cloth from our shirt and use that for bandaging. This is a test to gauge our

heart. How many of us have done such noble service? If we have not done it up

till now - then do it from today.

Never lose the opportunity to serve. Serve to the satisfaction of the person we

are serving. It is not enough to serve him just to please ourselves, only by

selfless service we can reach the heart of Baba, where we can find the heaven

on earth.

"Let us work and finish his sufferings once for all." (SSS Ch.34)
