A chronological history and sayings of Shirdi Sai Baba

Shirdi Sai Baba's birth at Pathri, Marathwada - 1838.

<My eye is ever on those who love me.>

At the age 8 he joined in the company of a Sufi fakir -1846.

<Know that my Spirit is immortal. Know this for yourself. >

At the age about 30 Sai Baba arrived at Shirdi with Chand Patil for a

wedding ceremony - 1868.

<If you make me the sole object of your thoughts and aims, you gain

Paramatma.>

Official persons of government accepted Shridi Sai Baba. He became famous.

Several followers realised that he is Sadguru - 1878.

<Trust in the Sadguru fully. This is the only sadhana. Sadguru is all the

gods.>

Shirdi Sai Baba went into a three days trance - 1885.

<Whatever you do, wherever you may be, ever bear this in mind that I am

always aware of everything you do.>

Shirdi Sai Baba used water to light lamps. He began to cure and distributed

Udi (ash). So his first miracle took place - 1892.

<In whatever faith men worship me, even so do I render to them.>

The Jamner incident as Shridi Sai Baba's second miracle took place - 1904.

<Look up to me and I will look after you. Not in vain is my promise that I

shall ever lighten your burden.>

Sathe wada has completed - 1908.

<If one meditates on me, repeats my name, and sings about my deeds -he is

transformed and his karma is destroyed. I stay by his side always.>

Sitaram Dikshit met Shridi Sai Baba. His congregational worship is started

- 1909.

< I am the bond slave of my devotee. I love devotion. He who withdraws his

heart from the world and loves me is my true lover and he merges in Me like a

river in the sea.>

Feb 10th onward started night Aarti every alternate day. Shridi Sai Baba

began to speak in parables. Shirdi Sai Baba grind wheat to halt cholera

epidemic - 1910.

<Repeat my name. Seek refuge in me. But to know who I am, practice Sravana and Manana.>

Shirdi started celebrating Rama Navami festival. Dikshit wada has completed

- 1911.

<If one perpetually thinks of me, and makes me his sole refuge, I become his

debtor and will give my life to save him.>

Oct 15th, Tue 2.35 p.m. Shirdi Sai Baba entered into Mahasamadi. The next

day his body was cremated at Bute wada. Before he died, Shirdi sai Baba told

his devotees he would come back eight years later - 1918.

<Though I be no more in flesh and blood, I shall ever protect my devotees.

I shall be with you the moment you think of me.>
