Nanasaheb Chandorkar was an earnest devotee of Baba.

Once he went up the hill near his village with a

friend. It was the hot season then and they immensely

perspired and felt thirsty. They could not move a step

and sat on a stone slab. No water was to be found near

by. Nanasaheb exclaimed if only Baba was near by, he

would have had no difficulty whatsoever. At the same

time Baba said to Madhaorao at Shirdi that his Nana

was in great need of water. I shall give it to him and

come back.

Shortly a 8hil passed by where Nanasaheb was sitting,

all exhausted. He was asked if water could be had

somewhere near. The Bhil replied "It is just under the

slab on which you are sitting". All of them removed

the stone and found that there was cool, clean water.

They drank it to their heart's content. After some

days when Nanasaheb was at Shirdi,

Madhavrao asked what was his difficulty about 15 days

ago. Nanasaheb took out his diary and remembered his

trouble on the Nimgaon hill. Nanasaheb and Madhavrao

were convinced that the Bhil who told him and his

friend about water under the stone was none other than

Baba himself.
