Guest guest
Sairam brothers and sisters, Today only I learnt that the present Brindavan Ashram, was originally belonging to Mr Venkateswara Rao who was managing a stud farm at this location and had requested Baba to accept the site. The present Boys Hostel was originally a very big water tank. Rows of Gulmohar trees and few Mango trees had adorned the entire area, and Baba used to sit under a big Banyan Tree talking to the devotees. I was not fortunate to be a witness to this, but I am sure many of you, must have seen that in its original splendour. Today when I stand on the Hostel gate doing Seva, I can well visualise how the area must have been with the big pool there. There is a professor here who has been with the Ashram for over 30 years, and he points out to me every single detail as existed then, together with some photos to prove the point. Yesterday was a fun filled day. Bhagwan did not give notice to anyone that he is going to arrive for Darshan at 3 PM. The ladies were still in queue outside the hall, the bhajan group had not taken their place and Baba arrived. Utter confusion and pandemonium broke loose. Everybody ran inside the hall in one swift huge human sea and under flat 1 minute, the hall was full. But for the running feet, there was grand silence. Swamy was so gracious, that He stood on the mantap and watched his devotees silently, blessing them even under the confusion. Thereafter He took His seat and the bhajan began. So today, everyone was seated by 2.30 PM in anticipation. Most of the students are dejected because there is not going to be any summer course this year. The new term for the college starts on 1st June 2003. Details on Baba's whereabouts can be had by ringing up 91-80-845 2233 or 845 3672 (This is the Bangalore Brindavan Hostel Number in India) best regards and sairam KKV Yasas PS: I am grateful to those who have accepted my offer of free email ID under domain "lovelyindia.com" They will get their info soon, as soon as the ids are created. (please give me a couple of days, since I have to find time between Seva and home work).
