Today, June 26, 2003 , has been the greatest day in many of our lives. Swami blessed all his devotees with darshan in Sai Ramesh Hall for the first time in 3 weeks. The SSE students from Region 10 were given the opportunity to stage their play "There Is Only One Religion." The ashram was decorated beautifully with banners, flags, and flowers in honor of Swami's recovery. As the Kalyana Mandapam began to fill with devotees waiting for the darsan of the Lord, the youth from our region were seated in front of the stage in matching tan saris, facing the audience. The men and women of our region were given reserved seating, and all the women were dressed in matching pink saris. The children's restless anticipation could be heard from backstage. Swami came in around 7:30 , directly from Sai Ramesh Hall. He was driven in through the men's side in a golf cart, and the youth group welcomed Him with two songs, Brother Jaga's I will love you and Sai Hamara. Swami descended from the cart and walked over to the women's side slowly. He had to be supported by two men and he walked very slowly, but he smiled at everyone and showered us all with Love. He spoke to actress Anjali Devi and singer P. Susheela for several minutes and then turned around and came and took his seat. Before the play began, 2 young girls came and offered flowers to Swami. Then 2 boys came and offered flowers. One of the boys, Ted, had a peculiar experience. After taking his flower, Swami blessed the boy's pendant which he was wearing. The boy saw a bright white light flash into his pendant. Then, 2 trays of sweets were brought to Swami to be blessed, and then the play began. Swami first asked Shyam Kanagala how long the play would last and an answer of 55 minutes was given. Then Swami asked Brother Henry from Houston how many children were in the play and an answer of 52 was given. Swami seemed to enjoy the play very much, and watched very intently. During the Hinduism scene, Swami asked how much longer the play would be, but he continued to watch with great amusement and enthusiasm. He seemed satisfied with the answer of 10-15 minutes more, and just one more scene. As the play ended, Swami began to rise to ascend the stage and bless the children. When he was informed that the children would come to Him, He was very pleased and took His seat again. He blessed all the children who participated in the play, and asked everyone around him numerous times, "Who was the best actor?" The answer was of course that all the children had acted well. At this, Swami materialized vibhuthi and blew it on all the boys. The remaining vibhuthi he put on the forehead of Rishi Das of Dallas and rubbed it on his throat. He blessed and spoke to many more children, and then performed the greatest miracle of the day. He blessed 5 year old Shreya Krishnamurthy by materializing a golden chain for her. When arathi began, Swami very graciously remained for a few minutes, and then left in the golf cart. As He left, none were left dry-eyed. The tears of love and devotion began to flow from the eyes of all who were present. It was truly a magnificent experience that all of us will cherish forever. Swami also arranged for breakfast for all of us because no one had gotten a chance to eat in the morning. That was a further expression of the love Mother Sai has showered on us. Sai Ram – Giridhar] T N Girdhar Posted: Thu, 26 Jun 2003 17:49:15 +0100 Today we all were very blessed and very very fortunate for Swami came to witness the Bal Vikas play. The day started with Swami giving darshan in the Sai Ramesh hall and after Narayana Seva, He came to the Kalyana Mantapam. Someone signalled to us that Swami was coming and so we started singing Jega's bhajan "I will love you....". Swami entered in the Kalyana Mantapam in the golf cart. Then Swami got down from the golf cart and started walking around. He blessed all of us. We started singing "Sai Hamara" followed by "satsangatve ...". Then Swami told that the play should in hindi. Swami sat for over an hour watching the play with so much intensity. Even during the intervals, he was constantly watching the stage. Many told us that this was quite unusual since Swami likes to talk to people around. It just shows how much love and grace he was showering on the play. The play ended with guruvandanam song. Swami got up and materialized vibhuthi and blew it on all the participants of the play. He then materialized a golden chain and put it around Girisha and Deva's daughter Shreya. He talked to many of the participants. Then he blessed the goodie bags and the scrap book that was done. He then left in the golf cart. I was sitting right in the front since I was playing the keyboard and was also a part of the lighting team. I could see Swami's intense look when I looked back. Many participants shared what swami talked to them after the play and I think it will become a long email if I start giving details of that. We are filled with so much love and grace. For Swami to sit for over an hour and watch the play, it is definitely a big thing since Swami is recuperating from surgery. If you ask anyone if it is normal for a person who had a recent hip surgery to sit continuously for 1 hour, the reply you will get is that it is impossible. Now you can imagine how much Swami may have endured to sit with us and witness the play. While leaving, Swami told the sevadal to feed us since we did not have breakfast in the morning. Probably I can go on and on about the happenings today and it will become a long email. I will stop here and next time will give you more updates. Swami granted Interview to the Old Boys at 1:45 pm in Trayee Mandir and spent with them for an Hour. Jai Sai Ram Time: Thu, 26 Jun 2003 10:06:00 +0100 Subject: Brindavan welcomes Swami again Sairam.Got a couple of calls from Brindavan this morning. Was almost a live telecast. Our Swami arrived at the Sai Ramesh Hall this morning exactly at 7.25 am in a little white open car from His residence in Trayee Brindavan. Swami got off from His car and started walking in the Sai Ramesh Hall - initially on the ladies side and then on the center aisle. He then got into the car (which was following Him all along) again until He reached the end of the hall where a massive crowd greeted Him from the grounds. I understand that Swami was blessing devotees profusely with both His hands raised in the Abhaya Hasta.He then blessed devotees on the men's side - again walking until He reached the Shanti Vedika where students performed Arati to Him. Swami then got into the car again and went to the Sai Kishan Kalyan mantap where devotees from the United States staged a play for Him. Swami watched the entire play before He retired to Trayee. There was no discourse his morning. However, Swami spent a lot of time talking to people.My friends in Brindavan worked all of last night and put up a massive Narayan Seva this morning. Swami came over to them and blessed them and the food individually. He is said to have told everybody 'Thumba Santosha' in Kannada - literally translated it means 'Very Happy'.Brindavan wore a festive look to welcome its Lord again today. I am told the ground was filled with Rangoli and flowers. And there were people everywhere. Sairam. And have a nice day.Sanjeeth Shetty Sai Ram ! Brothers !Swami gave darshan in Sai Ramesh Hall today. He came in the Golf Car in the Sai Ramesh Hall. Then he stopped the Golf Car and got down &; started walking. After he walked about 20-30 meters, Dr.Padmanabhan who follows Swami for darshan insisted that Swami should sit in the car again &; give Darshan. So reluctantly Swami sat in the car again. and completed the darshan round. Then during Aarti Swami again got down from the Golf Car to receive Aarti &; blessed all the devotees and started walking towards Kalyan Mandapam where the US youth group were to present a drama to Bhagawan. Again Dr.Padamanbahn insisted Bhagawan to sit in the Golf Cart. Bhagawan obliged him. In the Kalayan Madapam, Swami walked amongst the students &; sat for around one hour to watch the drama by US youth group. After the drama Swami materialised chain for one of the participants. He materialised vibhuti for all the drama participants. The hall was full of devotees as Swami had announced that he will be giving darshan on Thursday.He came at the usual time of around 7AM in a battery operated cart. He sat on it and took round along the lines giving his blessings and darshan. After the rounds in his cart he walked a few steps with the help of one of the students who had the divine blessings to hold his hand.. He was full of his effulgent best and was full of smiles. There was no trace of any pain. He was there for around 50 minutes. He did not give discourse. Devotees are made to sit in Sai Ramesh from 6:30 A.m onwards, At 7:30 Am Our Beloved Bhagawan came out to grant His Divine Darshan in Golf car. Swami came to Ladies side and got down from the car and walked through the ladies. Swami boarded the Golf car again and gave Darshan to all the Devotees moving in the rows in Sai Ramesh hall. Swami got down car near VIP Block and took Arathi . Swami gave Darshan for about 15 mins and went inside the Trayee Mandir. Jai Sai Ram SaiRam All!This morning (26.06.03), Bhagawan came out for Darshan. It was nice to have Swamy's darshan after three weeks. Swamy came walking some distance and then the little car was ready. The rows were so formed in Sai Ramesh Hall that there was enough space to maneuver the little vehicle. There was no carpet spread and we were wondering what was happening. Swamy was fervently waving hands and blessing all gathered. HE seemed very happy to be back again after this gap. It was a joyous morning indeed. After the darshan which lasted for fifteen minutes, Swamy went to the Kalyana mandapam to watch a cultural programme. Bhagawan visited General Hospital and Super Speciality Hospital in His Car. He visited both Hospitals from outside and Blessed the patients from the car. Jai Sai Ram T N Giridhar Posted: Tue, 24 Jun 2003 14:20:58 +0100 Today was very eventful. Around 10 AM , Swami took a ride in his Mercedes for about 20 minutes. Most of our group got darshan. Apparently when Swami was coming back, Swami commented that there were American devotees all over (We have scarfs that represent the American flag and we clearly stand out because we are 300 people ). Swami has given a lot of instructions for the play. We are told that swami will come directly to the Kalyana Mandapam from trayee for the play that day and then after the play will go to sai ramesh hall. Looks like there will not be a morning darshan on thursday. Permission has also been granted by swami to have two photographers from our group for the play. There is so much activity going on. The preparation is in full swing. The hostel is helping us so much in preparations. It is really a great moment to be here at this time. I will give more updates as they come.(The group referred to here is a group from the US – they are staging a play on Thursday – Giridhar. Yesterday i.e on sunday we(students) went around 7:30 a.m inside Trayee. Around 8:05 we started bhajans as Swami came, HE looked much healthier. Though HE was walking very slowly with support but there was no sign of pain on HIS face. HE was HIS old blissful self enjoying the bhajans. HE took a full round of the balcony. After Arthi, HE said that HE will come on thursday to Sai Ramesh Hall (for darshan) All of us clapped loudly. Thereon HE went to HIS room window &; blessed devotees gathered in the lawns &; outside. HE gave apple prasadam and we came back once again filled with joy and HIS love.SAIRAM! Swami told the boys that He will give joy to all of them and that He is going to give Darshan in Sai Ramesh Hall on Thursday Morning. Swami then asked the staff to distribute Prasadam ( Apples). He Himself threw some apples from the balcony to some boys. Swami granted His Darshan to Devotees from the window. Jai Sai Ram Lovingly consented and shared by M Ramakrishna Posted: 21 June 2003 04:09 Swami and Body My humble pranams to lotus feet of Bhagavan. I also pray to Him to excuse me if i am writing something which should not be written. I also pray to Swamy to cure himself and give darshan. Those devotees WHO completely surrendered to Swamy, there are no doubts. Those who do not approach him, no problems. But doubting thomases have no firm foothold. One of the prayers in shirdisai ashtoottaram requests to destroy doubts. One of the prayers in swamy's ashtottaram also mentions prayer to destroy doubts. However our ego or arrogance would like to question the unquestionable. When swamy's body is effected with illness, devotee questions why swamy does not cure it when he is curing all devotees; illnesses. An avatar goes thru these illnesses why? Has swamy taken another devotee's illness? does his body gets illness though he is an avatar. In the case of Krishna who is said to be a 24 kalatmaka avatar, death came as to any other body. Illness like cancer affected Ramakrishna Paramahamsa and Ramana Maharshi and their bodies went thru the same problems though it is said that they did not suffer as they never felt they are their body. Swamy has clearly said that he will not cure any illness to his body as that amount to selfishness and He is absolutely unselfish. Even on days of His birth day, He says the birth date is to the body and not to Him. He says he is always Ananda. He is thus immersed in self as an avatar. He also said he did pravesam for his birth and he was not born like an ordinary person. Swamy's body produces Vibhuti every day many times to bless devotees. On Mahasivarathri day Lingodbhava is done through this same body. He said he always weighed the same weight and his blood pressure is always normal. How can one think that his body is like ours though there may be many similarities to other bodies. Whether the illness is one brought upon Himself from a devotee or physical, it is His omniscient omnipotent desire not to interfere. So devotees should not have doubts on these matters. It is His leela not to cure His body to teach us the detachment of soul from body. From another point of view, we cannot know him fully except enjoying His Prema and Grace by submission. Swamy clearly said that we cannot know Him though He is in us all.. So let us pray and pray for His Grace and not unnecessarily create doubts and confusions in our minds . He went round on the circular balcony fully, looking at each and every one gathered below. These Golden moments lasted for more than 30 minutes. At the end of the Bhajans, Swami Spoke these touching wordsStudents !If I have come out of a critically dangerous condition, it is for your sake. Do not have any kind of worry. I will come down soon and bestow upon you, joy and bliss.This eye has not been seen the world for last 9 years (Swami indicated His left eye). Now I am able to see very clearly. Even this, is to experience the Bliss of seeing you. I got this vision for your sake (Then Swami closed His right eye and looked with His left eye). I can see perfectly.You should not have any kind of worry. These worries come and go. Don’t think of them. I will come down soon and grant you limitless joy. This very life is for you. I am with you, in you and around you (Swami called Dr. R.S.Padmanabhan near to Him and showed him to all the students and elders who were gathered in the round hall of Trayee.) Cardiologist Dr Das said, Dr Padmanabhan had a serious problem three days back. Now he is fine. I bless him to lead a long, happy, joyful life filled with peace. (Swami then hugged him. Only 2 doctors who had performed HIS operation of Hip Surgery and Cataract of Eye are allowed to visit HIM. Dr. Sundresh Orthopaedic Surgeon is the same Doctor who had performed my operation of Hip Fracture - and the same Surgeon had performed Hip Fracture operation of Bhagawan on 5th June 03Our prayers that Swami may start giving Darshan to all earliest.
