I am attempting to document where (and when) he made this claim. I haven't been able to find it in Vedabase yet. - Maybe I'm not using the appropriate search terms. - Does anyone have documentation for this statement? At another forum I received one reply saying it is a fabrication and another attributing it to an unrecorded conversation with Ramesvara. Considering that this assertion is widely accepted and is even used to argue for or against various positions, I think it is important to determine whether it is a true quote. Perhaps we should refer to it as Srila Prabhupada's putative assertion, considering its apocryphal nature. I suggested on the other forum that it may well be that Ramesvar heard Srila Prabhupada make such a remark, or something similar. It may also have been "These books will be the law books for the next ten thousand years," indicating the books Gaudiya vaishnavas worship: Bhagavad-gita, Srimad-Bhagavatam, Sri Chaitanya-charitamrita, Bhakti-rasamrita-sindhu, etc. Babhru das

VedaBase => SPLilamrta 50: The Lame Man and the Blind Man Apparently this statement was confirmed by Tamal Krishna Maharaja from his own direct experience (i.e. he personally heard Srila Prabhupada say so).
