All Glories to Srila Prabhupada.

May I humbly inquire about the practice of Flag Hoisting. I am used to a

practice by my Father and grandfather etc where a RED FLAG is hoisted in the

Name of Hanuman and a Yellow Flag is hoisted in the Name of Lord Shiva.

I recall reading that in Krishna Lila Hanuman appeared on the red flag of the

Chariot of Arjuna.

The Red Flag is sort of symbolic that a "Hindu" was living in some place.

Since I now live in Cape Town I have no acquaintance of a Priest. Is there a

Vaisnava way ...mantras etc to perform such a Flag Hoisting.

I observed similar Flags in Vrndavan Temple Tops.

i do not want absolutely to appear as unrespectiful of hindu tradition....

but i think that if you perform a vaishnava feast , chanting

congregationally the hare krishna mantr, respecting and distributing

prasadam, with scriptures readings and other various Krsna Katha ... Lord

Shiva and Lord Hanuman will happily come to your house with their flags

if you put also a flag with a nice vaishnava tilaka this will be another

sign that this is a house of a devotee

harekrishna mantra is the yajna of this era
