Thank you for bringing this topic up about flags. I wrote to the pujaris at the Jagannatha Puri Mandir about their flags at one time, but never got a response. Different flags are flown to indicate different holidays, especially when the Lord is ill and then feeling better. If anyone has information about this, I would be truly grateful.
