Guest guest
Dear list members, This is a reminder once again to all members to please, please, please, PLEASE delete excess quoted text from your replies. In the past I just flatly rejected messages which contained excess quoted text with a note to resubmit after deleting the excess. For some strange reason, members would then refuse to resubmit in many cases, resulting in overall decrease in list volume. As a result, I have now taken it upon myself to edit the messages containing excess quoted text. But when I do this, people take advantage and do not remember to make the edits themselves. Really, how difficult is it to copy-cut-delete 20 lines of text after hitting the "reply" button? Most of us are using windows-based operating systems, after all. Please be considerate to the moderator and edit postings before submission. Another reminder - when posting messages which are forwarded from other forums or private communications, please append a short sentence at the beginning stating that you had the original author's permission to forward it to Achintya. There are historical reasons why this policy is in place, and I will usually just take your word for it. And please, do not interpret the above requests as any sort of discouragement from posting. Please post profusely, but just be mindful of the rules for posting. These are mailed to all members once a month. yours, - K
