Dear Bhakti Vikasa Maharaja,

thank you so much for kindly providing so many useful quotes about

how 'Rama' in mahamantra can refer to either Sri Ramacandra or Sri

Baladeva. I had read some of these quotes before, but the question

that I was pondering was your original statement in which you

said: "And for perfect devotees, Rama in the mahamantra is

appreciated as He who gives pleasure to Radha." So I was wondering

how can this occur, since neither of the Lords in question have a

direct relationship (lila-wise) to Srimati Radharani.

Then I noted the post written by Sri Hari Prasad das, in which he

provided the commentary of Sri Gopal Guru Goswami on Mahamantra which

said: "The predominating deity (adhisthätri deva) of all rasa filled

pas-times, the crest-jewel of the clever, rasika sekhara Sri Krsna,

eter-nally enjoys with Srimati Rädhikä. Thus, He is referred to as

Räma. Sré Krsna attracts the mind of Sri Rädhikä and thus enjoys per-

forming pastimes with Her. He is, therefore, known as Räma."

This answer satisfied me greatly, as this is the first I've heard

that the name of 'Rama' can also apply to Sri Krsna too. All glories

to Bhakti Vikasa Maharaja! All glories to Hari Prasad prabhu!

Kind regards,

Jay
