Guest guest
Devotees mostly consult me when facing difficulties which leads me to reflect: Difficulties are sent both to test and to purify. On the contrary, a sense of material happiness usually precipitates forgetfulness of Krishna. Devotees tend to become lax in material comfort, whereas the struggle to withstand and overcome problems and obstructions gives rise to an intensity that in its increasing unpleasantness forces the devotee to helplessly cry out for the shelter of guru and Krishna--which genuine plea is the source of all auspiciousness and bliss for the devotee, the attainment of which is unlimitedly more relishable than all the fraudulent delights the material energy can offer and the experience of which is worth going through all the trials the material energy can offer. Indeed there is no other way to attain love of Krishna but by earning it in the school of the loving mistress of the material energy. Only when she is fully satisfied with a devotee's seriousness will she commit him to the care of her original counterpart, the overseer of the internal energy, namely Srimati Radharani. As such difficulties are favorable, nay necessary for advancement in devotional service and devotees should welcome them as Godsent opportunities to come closer to Him.
