Guest guest
By this time, many of you must have read news articles, regarding the heat wave that is prevalent over some parts of India. The average global temperature for 2001 was calculated to be at 14.52 degrees Celsius (58.1 degrees Fahrenheit). Over the last century, the average global temperature climbed from 13.88 degrees Celsius (in 1899-1901) to 14.44 degrees (in 1999-2001). This is an increase of 0.56 degrees. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) predicts that the temperature rise for this century will be around 1.4-5.8 degrees Celsius (2.5-10.4 degrees Fahrenheit). Lets assume that the increase, for this century (2002-2101) will be towards the lower number, i.e., 1.4 degrees Celsius. Presuming that things don't change drastically, and predicted rise in temperature holds good: the remaining time span for this kaliyuga being around 4,25,000 years, that is about 4,250 centuries. The average temperature with the above projection, at the end of Kaliyuga will be (14.52 + 4250 x 1.4) = 5964 degrees Celsius. Under these conditions, water will become a scarce commodity, thus affecting all other systems, as predicted in the 12th Canto of Bhagvatam. The essence of bhagavata purana is that no human calculation is a reflection of the Absolute. At the end of kali yuga...heat is unlikely to be measured in terms of Celcius or fahrenheit..!!! as the current instruments that measure heat will not withstand the temperature that is attempted to be measured. dr paraki www.chhindia.net
