Guest guest
Dear devotees, Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. And again I'm making a humble request. :-) I was given ceramic Deities of Sri Sri Gaura-Nitai and Maharaj, allowed me to do some simple worship with Them. But I have no any paraphernalia. The worst thing is that I have no money either. Here, in Moscow, anything coming from India is very expensive. For example, one little cup for offering the water costs about 6,5 dollars. Maybe it is made of silver? I was shocked to see such prices. I'm a Russian student and 6,5 dollars is a very big amount of money for me. So I found myself not able to buy two cups for water. I also need a panca-putra for acaman and ghanta with a saucer for it. Maybe anyone could send me those paraphernalia? I think it is possible for devotees from India as paraphernalia are not expensive there. When Karttika begins and devotees go to India I could try send some money with them, so they could pay for me. Please, help. :-) -- Your servant, Dennis. dennis_s
Guest guest
Dennis, Your best best is to shop for these kinds of things in India itself. With the exception of books, most devotional items from India are of better quality and cheaper than those obtained elsewhere. Although right now I am better able to afford imported items, I still save up money for India trips not only for the round-trip ticket, but also for extra shopping. Some of the things we obtain specifically from India include devotional clothing, puja items, books, ghee wicks, and so on. IF you are unable to go to India, you should check out some of the bookstore links on the Achintya webpage. In particular, I believe Giri Tradiing Agency does sell the kind of items you are looking for, and that too at Rupee prices. Check out their website and send them an email if the item you are looking for is not available on the website. My experience with Giri is that they will likely try to obtain whatever you want. yours, - K
