Madhvacharya demonstrates the supreme reality

Once Madhvacharya called for a disciple to bring a coconut. He then had it

broken, the matting removed the kernel broken and the meat revealed.

He then asked Trivikram Panditacharya who played the devils advocate to

bring out this point, what is this? To which Trivikram Panditacharya replied

that is Coconut matting, Coconut shell, coconut meat, coconut milk

respectively.

 

"Now take away coconut and what do you have?" The reply was, the objects

have no existence, so in the same way everything within the reality being

dependent on the Lord as the Supreme Independent has no existence without

Him.
