Guest guest
Hare Krishna, I was cross checking the hari vamsa verses quoted in our achintya verse list[brahmajyoti.htm] with the hindi translation of hari vamsa by Nag publishers available in my library. brahmatejomaya.m divya.m mahat yad dR^iShTavaan asi | aha.m sa bharatashreShTha mattejas tat sanaatanam || HV 2.114.9 || The divine expanse of Brahman effulgence you have seen is none other than Myself, O best of the Bhaaratas. It is My own eternal effulgence (shrii hariva.msha, viShNuparva 114.9). The following is translation by them: "O Arjuna, the effulgence of great brahman that which you saw is my enternal effulgence." Note the hindi translation doesn't says "you have seen is none other than Myself". Can anyone see this in the sanskrit of the verse ? Also, tat pada.m parama.m brahma sarva.m vibhajate jagat || HV 2.114.11 || "It is the Supreme Absolute Truth, manifesting the varieties of the entire created cosmos" This is translated as following: "It is pada of Param Brahma[supreme Absolute] which seperates that which is spiritual from non spiritual." In our translation it is translated as "It is Supreme Absolute Truth" but in the hindi translation it is called the "pada" of Supreme which is suggested by "pada.m parama.m brahma" in the sanskrit verse. Since I don't know the correct translation for the word "padam" so i have left it as it is. Can anyone throw more light on this ? Your Servant Always Sumeet. Doesn't 'aham sa' ('I that') mean this? If not, it's obviously where they got it from. Hope this helps, MJS.

Hope this helps, MJS.
