VEDIC COSMOLOGY

The followings are a portion of a Room Conversation between Srila

Prabhupada and a select few devotees occurred in Vrindhavana, India on

june 18, 1977.

 

DEVOTEE: Next verse, it describes the different divisions.

" Just north of Ilavrta-varsa and going further northward, one after

another, are three mountains,namely Nila Mountain,

Sveta mountain and Srngavan Mountain. These mark the borders of the three

varsas, namely Ramyaka, Hiranmaya and Kuru, and

seperate them from one another.

 

PRABHUPADA: It is not possible for me to digest. ( Laughs )

SOMEBODY ELSE HELPED......... I am a layman. I do not know.

 

TK: How did you write it?

 

PRABHUPADA: That SOMEBODY, KRSNA, HELPED ME. That HE

manufactured.

 

DEVOTEE: And these mountains, they extend to the

beaches. " It is considered, according to the Bhaga........."

 

PRABHUPADA: When I was writing, I was praying KRSNA that " I do

not actually accommodate all these knowledge. PLEASE HELP

ME." Yes That's all right.

After quoting the coversation the Author of the book writes: Kindly do

not overlook Srila prabhupada's statement, "THAT SOMEBODY, KRSNA, HELPED

ME. HE MANUFACTURED." If one is eager to point out Srila Prabhupada's

admittance of his disqualification as a cosmologist, then he must be

equally enthusiastic to recognize the qualifications of the astronomer

who manufactured the Fifth Canto purports- and that is KRSNA.

 

MY POINT: Please note that there are realm's that are above and

beyond sensory perceptions. That which is above and beyond our sensory

perception cannot be measured by our tiny brain. KRSNA is above and

beyond the limit of our sences and HE alone delivers pure knowledge

through HIS pure devotees. YS Ashokamrita.

 

PS: I am a scientist and an engineer and together with others we have

numerous doubts about the validity of the Moon landing. NASA even do not

answer why in almost three decades they have not gone back and repeated

the same feat under scrutiny of the present technologically advanced

international astronomers. In light of this it will be very interesting

to see what happens to the Lunar Missions of other countries such as EU,

JAPAN, CHINA and INDIA. However I belive that " VIMAN" or flying machines

are nothing new, they existed long before the WRIGHT BROTHERS developed

the modern aeroplanes. It is possible to send a mechanical device to

other planets and that has happened in other Kali Yugas. The current

International Space Station is true.

This gives me so much encouragement! It's in these little moments

and snippits that we are given the opportunity to clearly see Srila

Prabhupada's REAL position!

 

These little glimpses always enliven me to press on, trying my best

to follow Srila Prabhupada's words and living example.
