Most of the avataras listed in SB 1.3 appear once per kalpa, and in the Laghu

bhagavatamrta, Srila Rupa Gosvami calls them kalpa-avataras. Those who appear

more than once Varaha, Matsya, Kalki etc are the exceptions to the general

rule.
