This reminds me of an incident with my older daughter, Krishnamayi, almost 25 years ago. I had taken a couple of law classes from the Honolulu temple's attorney a couple of years before this. As a favor, he asked me to check out Honolulu's Siddha-yoga-dhama ashram as a sort of halfway house for a client of his. This place was in a nice neighborhood on Diamond Head Circle, and my wife elected to come with me rather than stay home. We also took Krishnamayi, who was 3 at the time. When we pulled up in front of the house, she asked where we were. I explained that it was a sort of mayavadi ashram. Her eyes grew as big as saucers, and she exclaimed, "I'm not going into any mayavadi ashram!" So while I took a tour of the place, she and my wife sat in the car.
