Dear Devotees,

Of the many glories of DAMODARA month, the most

glorious is the appearance of RADHA-KUNDA ( The Lake of Radha ). In Sri

Upadeshamrita, Srila Rupa Goswami wrote: " The holy place known as

MATHURA is spiritually superior to VAIKUNTHA in the transcendental world

because Lord KRSNA appeared in MATHURA. Superior to MATHURAPURI DHAM is

the transcendental forest of VRNDAVANA because of KRSNA's rasa-lila

pastimes. More superior to the forest of VRNDAVANA is the GOVARDANA-HILL,

for it was raised by the divine hand of Sri KRSNA and it is the site of

HIS various loving pastimes. Above all these the superexcellent

RADHA-KUNDA stands supreme, for it is over flooded with ambrosial

nectarean PREMA of the Lord of GOKULA, Sri KRSNA. Where then is that

intelligent person who is unwilling to serve this divine RADHA-KUNDA ,

which is situated at the foot of GOVORDANA-HILL?"

Piety is stratified, so please celebrate the most

blessed event of the appearance of RADHA-KUNDA this coming Saturday the

18 October. To the best of my knowledge and information this pastime

occurred at 11:45 P.M. ( Local Time ) on the eighth day of the waning

moon in the auspicious month of KARTIKA or DAMODARA. May the flame of

this pious month continue to shine in your aspiring Vaisnava heart! Your

Servant, Ashokamrita.

PS : Again, if anyone can post a copy of the Glories of RADHA-KUNDA, it

will be very much appreciated.
