Guest guest
The basic issue is whether or not Shankaraachaarya preached maayaavaada or not. So far, I have seen a lot of tangential and frankly evasive arguments in his defense. But what I have not seen is any explicit mention in any of Shankaraachaarya's writings to the effect that he believes Krishna's personality remains so even on the liberated platform, and that the jiivas also remain distinct from Him on the liberated platform. I'm not prepared to let this debate be prolonged by wishful thinking, innuendo, and unfounded interpretations. Let us see *direct* and *explicit* evidence to the effect that Shankaraachaarya teaches that: 1) Krishna's personality remains so even on the liberated platform 2) The jiivas remain as distinct individuals on the liberated platform 3) Jiivas on the liberated platform continue to perform devotional service to Krishna (or some form of Krishna) If these points can be proven explicitly (rather than from indirect inference), then Ram has a point. If not, then Ram's thesis cannot be proven. Moderator
