In fact, everyone else except "v_raja_ram" gets moderated strictly.] dear all - hare krishna. recently there was a plan to perform kumbabhishekam in 14 temples across tamilnadu. some of these temples are as old as recorded tamil hisory itself such as kapaleeswarar and marudheeswarar temples. they have a number of associated mytical legends that bespeak the greatness of the deity and his devotees there. on the day of kumbabhishekam, the festival has been stopped without any explanation whatsoever. it would be nice if all theists across schools of thought get together and file a public interest litigation against the endowment board. the endowment board with its political clout is also known for accumulating the wealth of the temples. a number of vaishnava, saiva and sakta temples have come to naught thanks to the division of faith among the followers of the vedic religion. while the advaitins accept every form as that of the supreme lord, the others do have a place for the deities other than the deity they worship as the supreme. for example, gaudiya vaishnavas do consider siva as the greatest vaishnava. is it not important that this vaishnava is not made to live with his eternal consort in a makeshift temple ? i would like to know the opinion of the vaishnavas here. best regards rajaram v.
