Please be kind enough to pass it on to the members of our group.] Welcome to Dharma University’s Global Administration College Global Dharma Keepers Training Course! This pre-recorded training session covers lesson one, the definition of a ksatriya. (To continue receiving these lessons [27 in all] please sign up here [unless already registered]: http://volunteermatch.org/results/opp_detail.jsp?oppid=178183 ) ______ What I want to impart to you today is the unique global role the Global Dharma Keepers Program seeks to play as a government solutions provider. Within the role of the Global Dharma Keepers program, we are going to come to understand the essential role and definition of a ksatriya, which is a fancy sanksrit name for a global administrator. Let’s first take a look at government. When we look at the role the government plays in human society, from the perspective of dharma, we find that government does indeed have an important role to play in helping people achieve spiritual development, especially in the realm of state-funded education. If we want to define a human being as something unique from all other species of life, then he have to see the human as essentially a spiritual-seeker, because that is the one human pursuit no other species of life engages in. It becomes clear that when governments remain unaware, neglectful or act in opposition to the spiritual development of their people, is when human society becomes transformed into an essentially animalistic one, whatever else it may accomplish materially. Can we conclude therefore that modern society is making rapid spiritual development, or is it rather going the way of the cats and dogs? I think the answer to that question is self-evident. This is the crux of the global dilemma we face, in that governments, by and large, are ignorant, neglectful, and/or opposed to the genuine spiritual development of the people. So what is Global Dharma Keepers going to do about it? Global Dharma Keepers is a direct solution to this problem that seeks to directly serve the people’s interests for spiritual development in areas where government cooperation is not available. In addition to the Global Dharma Keepers program, Dharma Institute also works indirectly for spiritual development through cooperative government programs like its Government Ministry for Self-Realization, to educate, reform and expose governments who are not acting optimally in the spiritual best interests of their people. To make it more clear, Dharma Institute is ready to empower government ministries with the knowledge and skills they require to fulfill their fiduciary responsibility to their people for achieving spiritual development, or if governments are not willing to take up their duty, then Dharma Institute will fill this long-standing spiritual gap through it Global Dharma Keepers program as a free service to the planet for the overall happiness of all living entities. What we are talking about here is that the Global Dharma Keepers Program will essentially function, for all practical purposes, as an independent self-supporting (non) government ministry focused solely on spiritual development of the people, and when we talk about government, this naturally brings us to the role of the ksatriya, or global administrator, and our topic for today. Traditionally, the ksatriya is popularly portrayed as a powerful warrior with his glistening sword, shield and horse drawn chariot, or in a more modern way as a soldier with his rifle, a flack-jacket and maybe a tank. The lesser-known fact is that, originally ksatriyas were first and foremost men who had dedicated their lives to spiritual development; first to his own, and to others by facilitating, developing and protecting the universal principles of dharma. And if we distill this essence of the ksatriya and extract it, I think this is what will find is what the Global Dharma Keepers program and what Dharma Institute is really all about. Of course, for some it may seem we are infringing upon the secularist’s holy ground by challenging the separation between church and state, but I want you to know in no uncertain terms, that Dharma Institute and the Global Dharma Keepers Program perfectly maintains and supports these secular ideals. At the same time, we also firmly believe that separation between church and state does not preclude cooperation between church and state for the overall happiness of all the people. I think it is evident to most that the solutions to the global problems we face today cannot exclude any tradition of knowledge or discipline from the planning table. Perhaps the best example of this is the United Nations who recently came to accept that a failure to acknowledge and incorporate universal spiritual values into the UN policy-making process (and the individual policies themselves) has globally rendered UN policy ineffective for all practical purposes. The UN, to their credit, is currently in the process of rectifying this omission and Dharma Institute has been ivited to play a role in this as well. [Dharma Institute's director recently presented a paper at the United Nation's first national level interfaith project in India, titled "Two Paths to Global Unity" to be published by UNESCO]. As Dharma Institute is approaching governments for cooperation, it needs to be noted that Global Dharma Keepers and Dharma Institute focuses exclusively on the spiritual empowerment of global administrators for the sake of global spiritual development, and absolutely takes no direct interest in any other facet of government, like treasury, defense, economic development, or social welfare, etc.. The ideological, social, economic and political functions of government certainly can have a positive or negative impact on spiritual development, and certainly Dharma Institute supports government policies that further overall spiritual growth. For anyone desiring to play a leading role in the area of spiritual development of a nation, there is certainly an entrance fee, or price one must pay. The price for spiritual leadership is nothing less than showing impartiality towards all religions. That is going to be as true of governments as it is of non-government organizations like the Global Dharma Keepers Program. Additionally I want to note that since spiritual development is based on the free will of the individual, a state-sponsored religion, or a state of theocracy and forced religious adherence and conversion, would not be conducive to overall spiritual growth on an individual or collective basis. What we are approaching here is the concept of the Common Religious Teachings of all the world’s religions. Dharma Institute is working in cooperation of the Foundation for Religious Harmony and Universal Peace for the purpose of identifying these common teachings, which will then be published and distributed to the people through the Global Dharma Keepers Program, and other government, religious and non-government organizations. Dharma Institute’s will also apply these common religious teachings in its Global Ideological Disarmament Campaign, which aims to permanently eradicate the root causes of terrorism and terror. These common spiritual concepts will be used to develop “unity-bombs” in the form of messages (ie. commercials, articles, ads, community service announcements, etc) to be carried globally across all known channels of communications in all known languages of the world. This is of course equal to Global Dharma Keepers in the sense of it being a very ambitious global project, and certainly one that is going to require state sponsorship in order for it to be successful. We are very confident that by repeatedly exposing the masses of people to these universal unifying messages people will automatically become disarmed from the deadly ideas that divide them, and which are not only the root cause of the hatred that drives terrorism and the terrorists, but also the very root cause of terror itself, on the side of the terrorized. After all, terrorism is a form of communication that requires a sender and receiver. Dharma Institute is totally dedicated to working the solution to terrorism from both sides of the equation by 1) eliminating the potential pool of terrorists (or the senders) by uniting with them and getting them to start seeing everyone as part of their family, and 2) eliminating the potential pool of terror victims (or the receivers) by making them fearless and thus immune from the deadly messages of terrorist’s. And even if we are unable to communicate to the terrorists themselves by approaching the potential terror victims and eliminating the causes of terror we also but an end to terrorism. We may not be able to put an end to death, but we can put an end to terror. We can get people to become fearless and not affected in any way by these senseless acts of violence. If ever there was a time and a need for a program like Global Dharma Keepers, it is now for the purpose of counteracting global terrorism, not by destruction of terrorists, but through constructing unifying idea-bridges with them, and through mutual global disarmament of divisive ideologies like nationalism and especially considering one’s religion to be one’s identity, rather than a process for realizing that we are all one family under God. Relgion is not an identity but a process. This is vasudevam kutumbakam, which expresses our highest nature, our highest duty, and thus our most important dharma—to replace lust and greed-based economic development with God and spiritual development as the center of our lives, our family, our state, our nation and our planet. It is then and only then that the Global Dharma Keepers can slow down, catch our breath, and feel with some certainty that we may have saved the planet. We have a historic closing window of opportunity through global communications to create and propagate a universal culture of spiritual development for the planet. I am calling on you, the future global dharma keepers to take up this challenge and unite the people of the world with themselves through our common relationship with God our creator. The world certainly does not need me, but it needs you to get involved and become a part of the solution. I want to thank you for joining me here today [at Dharma University's Global Administration College] and I thank you in advance for saving this planet from the spiritual ignorance and apathy it is currently unnecessarily being consumed by. The knowledge is there, the solution is there and we need you to implement it. Thank you again . Begging to remain your servant.
