Presuming that the Krsnadas Babaji you referring to is he who was Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati Prabhupada's disciple: I have heard from knowledgeable devotees that he accepted babaji vesa without any ceremony or formal induction, after the disappearance of his Gurudeva.
