Guest guest
siva - krishna_susarla's point is right on this saying that it is for ritviks to establish their theory - not for the opponents to defeat what has not been established in the first place. it is interesting that you talk denounce krishna_susarla as not knowing the basics of tarkka for saying this. do you know what is tarkka and what is nyaya ? it is a science that can be learnt only in sanskrit from very few qualified exponents on this subject living today. if you do not know what is tarkka, why judge some one else's competency on this ? if you really want to discuss guru tattva in gaudiya vaishnavism and iskcon, it has to be based on shruti/smriti, (you have to choose specific grantas), teachings of gaudiya poorvacharyas on this aspect, their actionsand writings of srila prabhupada. have you done a systematic study on these matters ? if not, why try to discuss and establish some thing that you yourself do not know about ? even your opponents may not be in a position to debate with you on this. if you are really sincere about developing bhakti, please pray to krishna to give you a guru who can guide you towards the lord and whom you can serve lovingly. depending on our sincerity, the lord will make arrangements when we are ready. you may be perturbed about "gurus and sannyasis" in iskcon who do not display those characteristics. but please note that this has been the way of life even hundreds of years back as the following words of sankaracharya who lived so long ago reveals : your concerns are valid. but even 2000 - 2500 years back, there were bogus people as is evident from sankara's wiritngs about the plight of those times where people who are not qualified took up the position of being sannyasis or gurus. Jatilo Mundi Lunchita-Kesah Kashayambara-Bahukrita-Veshah; Pasyannapi Cha Na Pasyati Mudho Udara-Nimittam Bahukrita-Veshah For the sake of this belly, what sort of disguise man puts on? One grows Jata on the head, another shaves his head, another puts an orange-coloured robe. Ignorant, he sees not though he sees (Sri Sankaracharya). so instead wasting your precious supporting crooks who are manipulating you so that they can make money and followers, please engage in sincere devotion to krishna, who is transcendental to sectarian differences. with best wishes and prayers.
