Question on Ekadashi

Hare Krishna,

 

Regarding the mention of various Phalas on observing ekadasi etc, it is meant

for those who are not devotees. We say that SB has nothing to do with dharma,

artha, Kama etc, but if reads the phalasruti for SB, it seems that reading/

hearing SB is like any other karma-kanda activity. But these are additional

benefits advertised to attract the non-devotees.

 

For those interested only in devotional service,observing

Ekadasi Vrata or reading Srimad Bhagavatham belong to the category of

"anukulyasya sankalpam" leading to total surrender to the Lord.
