Guest guest
A Devotee Friend has asked a couple of questions from the following paragraph of the PAvitropAna Ekadashi story which I am hoping that someone more educated than me can answer: "O Yudhisthira," Lord Krishna concluded, "the EkAdasii that comes during the light fortnight of the month of Shravana has thus rightfully become famous as PutradA ["bestower of a son"]. Whoever desires happiness in this world and the next should certainly fast from all grains and legumes on this holy day. Indeed, whoever simply hears the glories of PutradA EkAdasii becomes completely free of all sins, is blessed with a good son, and surely ascends to heaven after death." The reason for this Ekadasii was to get happiness in this life and the next... but isnt that like one of the auspicious ritualistic activities offered in the Vedas as fruitive activities? like Karma Yoga i think?? and isn't that wot we are told not to do... for example not to worship the Demigods for fruitive results? .... and also it says ascends to heaven after death.... don't we want to go Spiritual World??
