Hare Krishna,

How is a jijnasu (the inquisitive) different from a jnani (the seeker of

knowledge) in BG 7.16? Is jnani not jijnasu? Similarly isn't a jijnasu after

jnana of different things? Please comment.

Hare Krishna

Vidyadhar, jigyasu means seeker of knowledge and jnani means one

who is already established in knowledge.

Hare Krishna Sumeet,

My question comes because of the following:

Srila Prabhupada gives the meaning of jnani as "who is already established in

knowledge" and "inquisitive" for jigyasu. But in the translation he says "seeker

of knowledge for jnani" and for jigyasu he continues to say as inquisitive.
