Hare Krishna Pr.,

Thanks for your kind email. I completely agree with your comments.

Prof. Schweig (Garuda Das) is a senior disciple of Srila Prabhupada and one of

the few bonafide scholars that can talk about such topics to an academic

audience. There will always be people in this world that are attracted to such

topics, and I thought it was better for them to read this authorized version

than some junk on this esoteric topic. I'm not sure if you have read Garuda

prabhu's other writings - if not, I suggest you kindly do so. I also encourage

other devotees to help bring to light other wonderful writings of bonafide

devotees.

He is also a close friend of mine and so I thought it would be nice to inform

people about his new release. I haven't read the book myself, as I feel I'm not

ready for it at this point. I run away from such topics to tell you the truth:)

I apologise if devotees think I committed a mistake.

in your service,

Aravind.

Dear Aravind prabhu,

Hare Krishna. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. Please

accept my humble obeisances.

Prabhu, I am not a great literary scholar, but I would

like to point out one fact. The dealings of Krishna

with Radharani and the gopis, especially the Rasalila

of wich you speak; are very confidential topics. These

are ONLY to be discussed amongst the most advanced of

devotees in Krishna Consciousness. Even Srila

Prabhupada had mentioned that these topics are not to

be discussed freely with the general public as only

the most intimate disciples will be able to understand

the transcendental rasa that Krishna dn the gopis

enjoyed. I do not think we should be discussing these

topics here. Scholarly people have a tendency to think

that they can understand anything by their own study.

Please forgive me if I have committed any

transgression against anyone with my humble post.

Haribol!

Your servant in Krsihna Consciousness,

Braja Hari das

(Disciple of HH Gopal Krishna Goswami)
