I have read that there are 4 bonafide sampradayas. Srila Parbhupada

explains that ISKCON follows in the Brahma-Gaudiya path.

Would some body enlighten me on the other three paths and especially

what Mantra do they Chant.

a) Saraswati sampradaya ?

b) Siva Sampradaya ?

c) Kumara's sampradaya. ?

Haribol

Hare Krishna.

The 4 bona fide sampradayas accepted by the Gaudiya

Vaishnavas are as follows: -

1. Sri Sampradaya

This sampradaya is coming from Sri or Lakshmidevi and

it is presently coming through Sripad Ramanujacharya.

2. Rudra Sampradaya

This sampradaya is coming from Rudra or Lord Shiva and

it is presently coming through Sripad Vishnuswami.

Sri Vallabhacharya is said to be continuing this line

through his pushti marga sampradaya.

3. Nimbarka Sampradaya

This sampradaya is coming from the 4 Kumaras and it is

presently coming through Sripad Nimbarkacharya, also

known as Nimbaditya.

4. Brahma Sampradaya

This sampradaya is coming from Lord Brahma and it is

presently coming through Sripad Madhvacharya. Lord

Chaitanya Mahaprabhu accepted this line through Sripad

Madhavendra Puri. Hence, the Gaudiya Vaishnava line is

also known as the Brahma-Madhva-Gaudiya sampradaya.

I think that Rakesh Prabhu was referring to the Sri

sampradaya mistakenly as Saraswati sampradaya.

As for the mantras chanted, The Sri Line chants the

Ashtakshara Mantra - OM NAMO NARAYANAYA NAMAHA. They

also chant the Dvaya Mantra - SRIMAN NARAYANA CHARANOU

SARANAM AHAM PRAPADYE SRIMATE NARAYANAYA NAMAH and the

charama slokam -

sarva dharman parityajya

mam ekam sharanam vraja

aham tvam sarva papebhyah

mokshayishyami ma suchah

from the Bhagavad Gita - 18.66

These 3 are collectively known as rahasya trayam or

the 3 secret mantras, secret in the sense that the

efficacy is fully explained with various internal

meanings and bestowed upon the disciple during

initiation, Panchasamskara, by the Acharya.

The Madhva line I think also chants the Narayana

mantra. In addition, there may be other mantras given

in their line. Likewise with the other 2 sampradayas.

The Vallabha line recites "Shri Krishna sharanam

mama".

Perhaps the other devotees on this list with more

understanding of the Madhva and Nimbarka mantras can

elucidate further.

Hare Krishna.
