I don't care to discuss "jiva whence" issues, but Srila Prabhupada teaches that

everyone comes from the spiritual world, which means that we live there

eternally. That's our actual place. Our stay here is (hopefully) only for a

short while, but even then, the two aren't necessarily exclusive. We can

minimize our svarupa for now, but that doesn't mean it isn't still running; it's

just perverted. The pivot to where we're said to reside is where we're placing

our attention and love.
