Guest guest
Hare Krishna to all! I have been studying Krishna consciousness now for almost a year. My husband is the father of a devotee but she lives in Chicago & we are in Michigan. Most of my knowledge is coming from reading books and internet web pages or groups such as the achintya. I have read that while chanting it is a great offense to be distracted. I drive almost 55 miles one way to work which takes me anywhere from an hour or more depending on traffic and weather. I have a cd that I have been listening too of Srila Prabhupada chanting. If I listen and chant along to it while I drive to work & on the way home I am able to do 7 rounds. My question is if I'm chanting and driving would this be considered a distraction? Though I am paying attention to the traffic I direct my thoughts to the sound and the words of the Maha-Mantra. One other request, if there are any devotees near Genesee County that my husband and I could study with please let me know. We would love to associate more with those that are following Krishna. Thank you for any guidance and knowledge you can bestow upon me. Humbly, Georganne
