Guest guest
Hare Krishna dear prabhus dandavat pranams For fun here are few comments. If anything more you have to add. Jay ARd yatraantaryaamyaadibhedastattvato na hi yujyate . nirbhedaM paramaadvaita.n svamaatramavashishhyate yatra—wherein; antaryami-the Supersoul within; bhedas-different; tattvatah—in truth; na-never; hi-certainly; yujyate-is entangled; nirbedam-free from duality; parama-advaita.n-one without second; sva-His, He; maatram-only; avashishhyate-remains. He [the] Supresoul (antaryami) who resides from within is different in truth (essential nature). He is certainly never entangled, He is free from dualities and is verily always the non-dual Supreme Lord. Comment - One point that we can make here is that when the impersonalists say advaya or advaita they should say eka-vada because the very meaning of advaita, 'not two' conveys the idea that first 'two' must be there before we say 'no' to it. If 'two' would not exist we couldn't say 'not two'. First must be existence then there will be non-existence. We can't deny something that never existed or doesn't exist. We can only negate something which exists. Therefore, advaita means that the Supreme Lord i.e. the Paramatma, is free from these types of differences. This definition is especially to all Visnu tattvas. In Krsna there isn't difference between Him and the various limbs of His body, they are all 'one'. Although we say, Krsna's hand, Krsna's feet, Krsna's eyes, this does mean that Krsna is different from His hand, feet or eyes? In the case of Krsna this means 'to assume something which is not'. There is no difference between Krsna and His limbs but we assume that there is difference. There is no svagata-bheda (internal distinction) in Him. And then there is no sajatyia-bheda (differences from others of the same kind or category) (2)- Krsna is there and there are so many manifestations of Visnu, Narayana, Nrsimha, Vamanadeva, etc..., They are all One. There is no difference between Krsna and His various manifestations. And then vijatyia-bheda - differences from others of different kinds or categories (3). The living entities or the material energy they belong to the separate class. There is no difference between Him and the living entities or the material energy in the sense that these cannot exist independent from Him. There is neither difference nor non-difference between the energy and the Energetic, it is a combination of both (bedha-abedha). Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Saraswati goswami’s translation of advaita is "indivisible truth who is knowledge absolute." Only the Supreme Absolute Truth is indivisible and He is full of knowledge and bliss. This is especially true when Krishna the svayam Bhagavan comes to this Planet to have beautiful pastimes. And ultimately when the word advaita is used in regard to Krsna’s pastimes, then according to Jiva gosawami, it means that as a king has no rival, so the Supreme Personality of Godhead has no (na) rival (dvaita) anywhere in the world. In Srimad- Bhagavatam (3.2.12), Sri Uddhava explains: "The Lord's pastimes were wonderful for everyone". After all, the word advaita in this verse of Adyatma upanisad can certainly not be interpreted to mean the non-dual Brahman. This is also obvious from the text itself because the Antaryami or Paramatma is glorified by the words na hi yujyate – never entangled. The Jivas are entangled in the three modes of material nature and in the reactions of their activities - karma what is not true for the Supresoul because of His bhedas tattvatah – difference in His essential nature. He is Visnu tattva not a jiva tattva. Therefore, the only proper understanding of the words parama-advaitam is one without a second. The Supersoul is one without a second. NOTE: One of the additional meaning of parama is para – the supreme; ma – mother. Thus, this verse describes how the Supersoul resides within the heart of the living entities together with His eternal consort parama or Laksmidevi.
