Guest guest
Dear Mr. Yallala, The first and foremost suggestion any devotee will ever offer is to chant, on mala, in a regulated fashion ( preferably early morning before work); the Maha-Mantra: Hare Krishna Hare Krishna... and then continue to chant, in your mind if necessary, all day!! We can guarantee that your life will become sublime. RGd --- bhaskar yallala <y_bhaskar wrote: > > Hare krishna > > I am a sofware engineer working > in US. I am married. Its function is to place (some) jIvas under an illusion. Under the spell of this illusion, the jIva forgets its essential nature of being sachchidAnanda (eternal-conscious-blissful) and identifies itself with the material elements that constitute the body, mind, etc. That is, it mistakenly conceives of itself as a product of the material world. Another symptom of this "identity crisis" is that the jIva forgets that it is an eternal part and parcel of Krishna but instead sees itself as disconnected from Him. It is thus able to cherish the false notion of being the enjoyer and the doer and hence continues to helplessly transmigrate from one body to another. mAyA is very much a complicated topic (our reasoning itself is in her realm!). I'm sure that there many learned members in this list who might be able to give a better explanation. Corrections are welcome.

The Lord has three types of energies. the internal energy-(the spiritual energy, spiritual world), the external energy(the material world, includes upto Brahmaloka, temporary and full of miseries) and the marginal energy (the living entities, the individual spirit soul is spiritual in nature but because it is attracted by the illusory or external energy of the Lord it becomes marginal energy of the Lord that is partly spiritual and partly material). Maya is created by God for those souls who rebel from God in the spiritual world. these souls then become conditioned by the material energy of the lord. Suitable bodies are given to the souls in accordance with their desires and their actions. Only the human form, of life is a chance for the conditioned soul to get out of this material entanglement and return back Home, Back to Godhead. Those who realize this and become surrendered devotees of the Lord return back Home, and others who are attracted by the external energy keep on revolving in the cycle of birth, old-age, disease and death changing positions and their dresses (external bodies) according to the karma they have created. (Karma is taken into account only in the human form of life) Hari Bol Hare Krishna _______________ Join the world’s largest e-mail service with MSN Hotmail. http://www.hotmail.com
