Achintya in Digest Format

Hare Krishna.

 

The Achintya list's membership is now in excess of 40 members, which is

certainly exciting news. Some of you may be feeling the burden of having a

higher volume of email messages in your mail box each day.

 

I just wanted to let members know that they can setup their

account to deliver Achintya list mails in digest format (all messages

compiled as a single message, delivered daily) or even choose to forego

mailings all together and simply check the messages on the web.

 

In order to do this, one has to have a userid (NOT the same

thing as having a email address). To get a userid, go to:

Near the upper left hand corner of the window, click under "New Users" on

the link that says "Click here to register."

 

You will then be prompted for a userid (which you get to select)

and a password that you wish to use. You will also be asked for your

"Alternate Email." For this, simply fill in the email address that you

d to achintya with. When you are finished filling in all the

details, click at the bottom on "Submit form."

 

Now should recognize you as a member of its website as well as a

member of Achintya list. Go to Achintya list at:

Near the upper right hand corner under "Membership" it should say "You are a

member of this group." Just below that, click on "Delivery Options."

 

Under "message delivery" you can specify how you want to receive Achintya -

individual emails vs daily digest vs no email. You can also specify what

email address you want to receive your mailings.

 

Note that having a userid also allows you to access some of the

special features on the Achintya web page, including online chatting,

message archives, database, calendar, etc.
