Guest guest
Hare Krishna. I apologize netters, but I mistakenly approved this posting when I mean to keep it off of achintya. Basically, the response of the Cyber Maadhva Sangha (given at the URL below) has absolutely nothing philosophical in it. It is nothing more than condescending and offensive rhetoric directed at Srila Prabhupada as well as the ashta- matha swamis of the Maadhva maths. Of course, just because a posting appears on achintya does not mean that the moderators have endorsed it. It simply means that the posting is theoretically consistent with the overall purpose of the list (unless I made a mistake). In this case, the URL links to a statement that is contrary to Vaishnava etiquette. Therefore, I recommend that you not bother to read it. If you should make the mistake of reading it, please DO NOT try to email its author (Srisha Rao) or any of the other Dvaita list members. This is very important, because they will simply use your anger in an attempt to depict us as sentimentalists or fanatics. Don't try to engage these people in private email debate, which has been shown to be extremely futile. You can even see how futile it is to argue with them, as they are in effect rejecting their own spiritual leaders. True Vaishnavas discuss philosophical differences calmly and politely, and always with regard to the statements of shaastra. If in debate one is found to lack evidence for his view point, he will politely withdraw if he has any semblance of Vaishnava character. The nonVaishnava approach is simply to argue for one's opinion and blindly reject any and all evidence which disagrees with it. Clearly, there is no way one can have a meaningful conversation with so-called Vaishnavas who reject entire portions of the Vedas just to further their own views. Once again, I apologize for having mistakenly hit the "approve" button on this one. yours, Krishna Susarla achintya, Mrgerald@a... wrote: > > This is the Dvaita List response to the Response from Udupi to their paper. > > http://www.dvaita.org/shaastra/critics.shtml > > GS

As follower od Srila Prabhupada, we should not argue against those people sometimes treated by his divine grace as they seem to deserve. Moreover we have enough controversy in our own group to resolve before engaging our force in vain fight. I never took part on it knowing this could disurb my serenity.
