Thanks, - K] Reply regarding Sri Krishna Janmastami: Please accept my humble obeisances. I am writing regarding the Janmastami celebration in Dallas. This year Their Lordships Sri Sri Radha Kalacandji received 3 outfits of which one was a beautiful flower outfit covered with hundreds of yellow, purple and white flowers. Their darshan was continuous all day and the curtain closed only so the pujaris could change Their dress. Each garland and flower arrangement was filled with roses and Srimati Radharani's beautiful hair and Sri Krishna's ankles were decorated with jasmine garlands. In the morning the devotees read aloud from Krishna Book regarding the appearance of the Lord. Early afternoon in the temple room devotees were putting last minute touches on the flower outfit which Their Lordships would change into for the 4 pm arati. There were dance and drama performances which began at 6:30 pm in Kalacandji park on a nice stage. The same youth groups who performed a beautiful dance using water pots and another amazing one depicting the rasa-lila of Sri Krishna will compete in Houston this coming weekend. The drama performances were given by His Grace Prajapati prabhu Yogamaya and Radhika called "The Bird In The Cage" all about a foolish man who cannot understand that the bird in the ornate cage he has is about to die because the man continously polishes the cage and refuses to see the needs of the bird inside. Then afterwards prabhu gave a nice discourse about the spiritual significance of the drama. Another drama was performed by the young girls regarding Krishna stealing butter and Mother Yasoda tying Him up. After that there was melodious Krishna kirtan performed by Mahatma prabhu. There was continous bhajana being performed in the temple room while the activities in the park were going on. There was a huge 60 inch TV in the park which had a camera projection of Their Lordships continously. So one could be in the park and have darshan of Sri Sri Radha Kalacandji at the same time. Over 2000 plates of prasadam was served all day and at midnight. I fasted on water all day and helped with as much service as possible such as helping in the kitchen, reading Krishna book aloud, helping with the flower outfit and chanting in the Bhajanas. Sri Krishna Janmastami Ki Jaya! Srila Prabhupada Ki Jaya! Srila Gurudeva Ki Jaya! your humble servant at ISKCON Dallas, Mother Kunti
