All glories to Srila Prabhupada. According to the Vaisnava Calendar half day fast is observed on Ekadasi and feasting on 29th for Lord Vamanadeva app. day. This way one can keep the ekadasi fast as well by breaking at the appropriate time in the morning of the 29th. However, in your mail, you mention fast till noon on 29th! Please relieve me of my confusion. your servant shashika

I have no idea about the "fast until toon, feast tomorrow" comment. At first I thought that it meant that we should fast on Ekadashi, and not observer Lord Vaamana's appearance with a feast until next day. But it also makes sense that one should fast only half of the day on Ekadashi, then feast for Lord Vaamana. Every single year, however, it always says "fast until noon, feast tomorrow." I'm not sure if this is an error. I don't know the rationale. And I'm not sure if there are really any calendars which say otherwise. I would also appreciate clarification on these points. - K
