Guest guest
For preaching to be effective, the preachers heart should bleed seeing the suffering of others. He should be good not only in the gaudiya philosophy but also in the gaudiya culture. I was reading the life of Srila Bhaktivonoda Thakur. In his old age, when he required the help of glasses to see, owing to the compassion he had for others, he remarked (some thing along these lines), "I wish I had the energy to go on a horse back and preach" Until one has developed this much compassion, is it not good for him just to focus on his sadhana and provide logistic support for preachers rather than he going out and preaching in haste? An unqualified preacher may be thinking that he is doing an excellent service, but is he not spoling the whole show? Does any one want to share their thoughts on this?
