Preaching to a relative

I think that it is such a nice arrangement by Krishna for you to preach to

your mother-in-law. I do not remember the name of the devotee but Srila

Prabhupada has a disciple who preached to his mother at a late stage of

illness in her life and she actually uttered the Holy Name at the time of

her passing away. In fact there are many incidences like this.

 

Maybe you can play some kirtan tapes in the background, you can read to her

from Bhagavad-Gita or even Krishna book. And off course you can chant

loudly in her presence so that she also hears the chanting.

You may also try hanging some pictures in her room that will remind her of

Krishna all the time.

 

The fact that she is already a vegetarian and is serving your deities is

such an advantage. Please take up the opportunity to preach to her. Through

your association she will take up the chanting.
