Guest guest
Haribol! Today is Sunday, and I have a bi-weekly Sunday Feast (very small--3-4 people). I invited my mother-in-law, Kate, to come and celebrate with us. She came, bowed down before Prahlada-Nrsimha (my Deities), sang Hare Krsna in the kirtan, and listened to and participated in our Bhagavad-Gita reading and discussion, and took maha-prasad. She felt a little out of place, but asked nice questions, and was not offensive. I sent her home with a flower from the arati and the packet of songs that we usually sing (with translation). She also taped the kirtan so that she could learn the songs better. So I think it went well, and hopefully she will be back next time. I am sure that with all the Vaisnavas who are always krpa-sindhu praying for her devotional success she will become happy. She was very attracted by how beautiful Lord Nrsimhadeva was (I think He is the most beautiful Deity-form of Nrsimha). Thank you, everyone, for being so kind, and helping me to have the conviction to invite her today. Hopefully this will be the first of many visits.
