The preface mentions "A follower of the Krsna consciousness movement should become a perfect goswami." When we meditate on and understand the meaning of goswami, then we can appreciate and respect so much more the six Goswamis. How perfect they were in their sadhana and dealings with other Vaisnavas that they received the title of 'goswami.' They were blessed by the Lord Himself. I find it very helpful whenever I read the NOI to first sing the Sri Sri Sad-gosvamy-astaka. The translations are so deep.
