Guest guest
First Sripada Nimbarkacharya, and now Sripada Vallabhacharya, LOL. This is interesting, to find out about Vaishnava history as all the four sampradayas are authorised by Krishna for the Kali Yuga purification. The Nimbarka line are descended from the Kumaras while the Vallabhas are descended from the line of Shiva (and Sripada Vishnu Swami), in much the same way as the Ramanujas descend from Lakshmi and the Mahdvas/Gaudiyas descend from Brahma. Would you mind telling us about it? I am most interested to hear. In service of Gaura-Nitai, Sanjay ===== "Radha-Krishna prana mora jugala-kisora, jivane marane gati aro nahi mora." Just one point on that. We speak of all four of these sampradaayas being "authorized." I often think that we refrain from discussing the differences. There actually are some important differences, and while we respect all of these sampradaayas as genuine (since in theory, all are actually descended from Sri Chaitanya Mahaaprabhu) it doesn't mean we accept all of their tenets as correct. > One might be interested in noting these URLs: > > http://www.hindunet.org/alt_hindu/1995_Mar_2/msg00034.html > http://www.hindunet.org/alt_hindu/1995_Mar_2/msg00078.html Those are nice articles, but in retrospect I'm not sure how accurate they are. I'm not sure what the sources were for that information. Also, some of the material is from Navadviipa-Mahaatmya, and thus the followers of those sampradaayas will not accept it. yours, K
