It is more satisfying (even for us, the living entities) if when someone does something for us, they do it of their own accord, and out of sincere affection for us. How cheap would love be if we HAD to love someone, with no say at all in the matter. Of course, our constitutional position is to love Krsna (how can you not love the All-Attractive?).
