In the light of modern science

Please accept my humble obeisances.

All glories to Srila Prabhupada!

Those belonging to some sectarian faith will wrongly consider that

sanatana-dharma is also sectarian, but if we go deeply into the matter and

consider it in the light of modern science, it is possible for us to see

that sanatana-dharma is the business of all the people of the world -- nay,

of all the living entities of the universe.

(p. 18)

How is modern science helpful in ascertaining "that sanatana-dharma is the

business of all the people of the world" ?

Which of the (many) sciences is His Divine Grace specifically refering to?

Or is HDG speaking about the modern scientific method in general?

Thank you very much in advance. Hare Krishna.

Your humble servant,

Rogier.

Someone (you?) also asked this question before, but I don't recall

that we discussed it at all. I'm really not sure what Srila

Prabhupada meant by this. My gut feeling tells me he is referring to

Vedic concepts of the body/soul dichotomy - one which is not well

developed by other philosophies/religions, but can readily be

accepted by people of all faiths due to logic and common sense. Such

ideas will readily appeal to scientifically minded persons since

they are based on unassailable reasoning.

I think so too. In a good example, Srila Prabhupada walks readers

through this subject step by step in his purport to Srimad Bhagavatam,

2.2.35.
