This verse from Padma Purana, cited in the purport by Paramaguru Srila

Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura on Caitanya-bhagavata, Adi-khanda,

7.173, affirms that the transcendental prasadam from the Deity cannot

become contaminated:

 

naivedyam jagadisasya

anna-panadikam ca yat |

brahmavan nirvikaram hi

yatha visnus tathaiva tat ||

 

"Whatever offering is made to Lord Jagadisha, consisting of food,

drink, etc., is completely spiritual and incorruptible--every bit as much

as Lord Vishnu."
