Guest guest
Hare Krishna Please accept my humble obesiances unto your lotus feet I have a question that has been bothering me for sometime - Why isn't the SatSandarbha and Govinda Bhashya distributed within the Gaudiya community ? The above two books form the core of the Gaudiya Vaishnava philosophy and for that reason they must be openly circulated amongst the devotees and extensively commented by major acaryas of our sampradya so that we can become more confident and well versed with the philosophy of Sriman Mahaprabhu as given by the greatest vaishnava Srila Jiva Goswami. Unfortunately I don't see this happening yet neither I know of any such plans to be implemented in the future. Hence I humbly request the fellow devotees to please answer me. It is a fact that these two books are the most important ones in our sampradya so why not are they circulated amongst the devotees ? Why ain't they available at the ISKCON mandirs ? Please don't misunderstand me, i don't mean to say that books by Srila Prabhupada or any other acaryas are bad or should be overlooked but my point is that the books which are the original and most extensive presentation of our philosophy, which are written by the thinkers/philosophers of our schools who actually earned the Gaudiya Vaishnavism a status of being a recognized Vedanta school, why are those books not circulated in the devotee community ? In my opinion they should be commented upon by recent authorized acaryas and circulated. With Love Your Servant Always OM TAT SAT Sumeet.
